Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the fulfillment of disaster relief by aid agencies in Indonesia. Aid can be pooled and distributed by governments, private companies, and communities. Logistical support must arrive on time in the right location, target oriented, good quality, enough quantity, and needed. This research used interview methods with BPBD, PMI, and the private sector and distributed questionnaires to 101 respondents to identify community involvement in the current disaster management system. The result of this research shows that the fulfillment of goods through disaster management system in the private sector and community need to be improved. The current system is considered less troublesome and has gained the trust of the community. The private sector hasn’t been involved enough in this system, even though the private sector is the party that can help existing humanitarian organizations to meet their needs. One of the private parties that can be involved is PT. Jupiter Logistik Indonesia.
