Analyzing Operational Impacts on Prolonged Loading Duration at Cipta Krida Bahari using Structural Equation Modelling

Abstract


The loading and unloading process is pivotal to the revenue cycle in the logistics industry. This study intensively observes anomalous phenomena at Cipta Krida Bahari characterized by prolonged loading and unloading process duration influenced by an unidentified factor, Focusing on four variables and an intermediary element inherent in understanding operational procedures. These variables encompass driver information, truck type, arrival time patterns, and commence time as well as completion time of the loading and unloading process. In contrast, the duration of the process loading & and unloading time is the dependent variable. By utilizing Structural Equation Modelling and using the method via SMART PLS 3, the author investigates interrelations and their potential influence on loading and unloading duration. This study highlights operational insights as the author gives a wide understanding of how to enhance efficiency through the operational view. The data for this study is extracted from the company’s log from May to June 2023, encompassing 208 sample data
