Humanitarian Logistics Management (Case Study of Cianjur District, Indonesia)
Abstract
Humanitarian logistics plays a vital role in disaster relief, involving the coordination and management of resources and personnel to ensure the efficient delivery of life-saving assistance during natural disasters, conflicts, or humanitarian crises. Its primary focus is on planning and facilitating the timely distribution of goods, services, information, personnel, and aid to affected populations. Qualitative methods are employed as a tool to gain an in-depth understanding of how these variables influence outcomes within the domain of humanitarian logistics. This journal uses study case in Cianjur with data collected through interviews with BNPB Disaster Analysis, Founder of Sekolah Relawan, and volunteers who’s participated in Cianjur's earthquake in November, 2022. This research investigates the influence of infrastructure, transportation, warehousing, and volunteers’ involvement on operational efficiency in humanitarian logistics, offering insights and case studies to advance humanitarian logistics operations in Indonesia.
