The Advantage of Bonded Zone Facility for Import Process in Manufacture Company at PT Dayup Indo
Abstract
Many companies import raw materials to ensure that the produced goods meet export standards. The Indonesian government provides facilities for export and import activities. One of the facilities related to customs is the Bonded Zone, which granted to export-oriented manufacturers. This study aims to determine the import process within the Bonded Zone and analyze its impact on companies. The research employs a qualitative descriptive methodology and triangulation for data validity checks. This research was conducted from January to June 2023 at PT Dayup Indo, located in Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (KBN) Cakung. The study aims to investigate the benefits acquired by manufacturing companies during the import process through the Bonded Zone facility. The result of this study are PT. Dayup Indo benefits from facilities and ease in the import process, which leads to cost reduction by allowing them to not pay import duties, accelerate material procurement, and avoid random physical inspections.
