Extensive or Exclusive? : The Utilisation Of Project Management Toolsets In The Manufacturing And Services Sector Of The Aviation Industry

Huzaifah Yusoff, Mohammad Fakhrul Nizam Mohammad

Abstract

This study assesses the level of project management tools and techniques utilisation in Malaysia's aviation industry manufacturing and services sector. The methodology in this study is divided into two parts: the first part focuses on secondary research to understand the types of project management tools and techniques used. The second part focuses on the primary research on gathering responses from the personnel at various levels evaluated using the Fuzzy Delphi Method (FDM) to gather expert consensus feedback. This study provides valuable insights into the project management toolsets commonly used in the aviation industry that would assist companies in selecting and implementing project management tools or techniques. A preliminary study analysis discovered positive trends and patterns in the extensive use of project management toolsets among personnel in the industry.
