Impact of ship operational intensity and ship exhaust emissions on the environment around Tanjung Priok harbor

Abstract


The purpose of this study is to find out how ship exhaust emissions affect the environment, especially the air around Tanjung Priok port. The quantitative method used SmartPLS 4 software. A questionnaire was distributed to 150 people around Tanjung Priok port. Air pollution around Tanjung Priok port is a major problem. This is due to the increasing number of ships that dock and operate at the port each year. These ships emit exhaust emissions containing various harmful substances, including sulfur oxides (SOx), nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), and particulate matter (PM). Air pollution affects human health and comfort, global warming, and poorer air quality.
