EFFECTIVENESS OF CONTAINER HANDLING AND DWELLING TIME REDUCTION: CASE AT JAKARTA INTERNATIONAL CONTAINER TERMINAL COMPANY, INDONESIA

Abstract


Auto Gate System is an automated system designed to simplify the process of receiving and shipping goods at the TPKS gate. Terminal Booking System is a system provided to schedule the receipt and delivery of containers carried out by the owner of the goods to be able to issue an E-Ticket. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of using the auto gate system and terminal booking system on increasing the effectiveness of loading and unloading and reducing dwelling time at PT JICT. This research uses quantitative methods through questionnaires to 65 PT JICT employees. The analysis test used is SmartPLS 4 with the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis method. The results of this study are the use of the auto gate system and terminal booking system has a positive impact on increasing the effectiveness of loading and unloading and reducing dwelling time at PT JICT.
